The Pearson area is underlain by Jurassic age folded metavolcanic and metasedimentary rock that may be correlative to the Lower Jurassic Unuk River Formation, Hazelton Group. The predominant rock types are metasediments consisting of quartz-biotite and quartz-biotite-chlorite phyllonites and schists with minor interbedded limestone and graphitic schists. The original rocks are greywacke, marl and sandstone. The metamorphic rocks have been intruded by small subcordant bodies of diorite, leucodiorite and/or syenite and hornblende diorite of Triassic-Jurassic age of the John’s Peak stock or Unuk Meta Diorite. A north trending stock of diorite, several kilometres in length, occurs just west of the Pearsib area and granodioritic stocks of the Texas Creek Plutonic Suite intrude to the east. Lower Jurassic Stuhini Group rock is predominant to the immediate west.

In 2013 Castle Resources reported a significant airborne EM Anomaly identified by 3D Analysis (Castle Resources Inc., News Release, February 27, 2013): “An extensive conductor has been identified along the southern face of the area roughly 3.5 km north east of the JK Zone** (termed the North EM Conductor). This feature trends north-south, exhibits a conductivity greater than 13 mS/m and extends over a strike length exceeding 2 kilometres, dipping approximately 15 degrees to the south. This feature extends to surface at location (NAD 83 UTM Zone 9) 419235 E, 6234560 N, and most of the feature begins 200 m below surface, representing a potential near-surface drill target. This conductive feature is located within a magnetic low and bounded to the east by a magnetic high (0.01 nT).” The target was scheduled for drilling by Castle in 2013 but due to circumstances never took place. In 2015, 100 per cent ownership of the Pearson property reverted to Teuton Resources Corp.

In 2017, prospecting was carried out by Teution in order to investigate the large airborne geophysical anomaly, the source of which is interpreted as being beneath surface to the north of the Pearson property. This resulted in the discovery of a kilometre-long zone carrying numerous instances of green-blue, malachite and azurite stain. Local veins and breccia occurrences carried values running from trace to 68.7 grams per tonne gold, 0.2 to 321 grams per tonne silver and trace to 7.06 per cent copper (Teuton Resources Corp., News Release, September 18, 2017). Alteration patterns suggested to Teuton that this area may represent the top of a porphyry copper system. Current plans by Teuton were for a ZTEM survey to be flown over the region in 2018.
